What is soft washing?

Soft washing uses low water pressure (under 500 PSI) combined with biodegradable cleaning solutions to remove organic growth like algae, mold, and mildew. It's gentler than pressure washing and more effective for porous or delicate surfaces.

Can you soft wash my roof?

Yes. Roof soft washing is the industry-recommended method for removing algae streaking (black stains). High pressure can damage or void shingle warranties, so low-pressure application with the correct chemical mix is the right approach.

How long do soft washing results last?

Results typically last 1–3 years depending on your local environment and tree coverage. Our biodegradable solutions kill organic growth at the root rather than just rinsing the surface, so regrowth is slower.

Are the chemicals safe for plants and pets?

We use EPA-approved, biodegradable surfactants. We pre-wet surrounding landscaping before application and rinse thoroughly after. Most solutions are safe once dry, but we'll advise you to keep pets inside during the job as a precaution.

What surfaces benefit from soft washing vs pressure washing?

Soft washing is best for roofs, painted wood, vinyl siding, stucco, and EIFS. Pressure washing is better for concrete, brick, pavers, and stone. When in doubt, soft washing is safer — you can always increase pressure, but you can't undo surface damage.
